Trauma

Whether the event happened to you or someone you love, trauma therapy is designed to safely reduce helplessness and increase empowerment. Specific trauma therapy takes time for preparatory work and time to debrief and regulate. The goal is to have less physiological and psychological distress and more peace. While the traumatic event is something that happened to you or your loved one, it does not have to invade the life you have now. The purpose of trauma therapy is to reduce and remove the power it has over your life. I have worked with clients who have experienced abuse & neglect, exploitation, mass violence, traumatic loss of a loved one, and traumatic injuries.
